Making Right Selections and Why it Matters

Welcome Back

How was your week? Mine was great. I hope you've started to look around your kitchen with a new since of home.

As we begin to learn each other, remember, selections matter, but they are personal. What might be right for me is not always right for you. But as we start to learn each other through conversation, experiences of exploration together , you will soon know what matters to you and your family. And as I share you will learn why my selections are for me.

Making that Right Selection can be the start of something new or an opportunity to enhance the old.

Let me share some of my selections and explain why they matter to me.

I start with intentional choices of utensils cookware and dishes. I use all five senses as I hunt for pieces that speak to me. The best wooden, cast iron and ceramic cookware. Why you ask, because Presentation is everything to me. I am a servant at heart and it matters how and what I do, for those I love and serve.

So let's take a peek at some of my pieces that bring my family Joy.

Wood----I Simply use wood to evaluate the presentation of food.

Cast Iron----I use Cast Iron because it holds all flavors and seasoning from each previous meal.

Ceramic Dishes and Cookware---Ceramic and pottery dishes seem to hold the creators magic, the hands of the particular artist weaves deep feelings straight from the heart into the dish or cookware being created. Every time the pieces are used the magic is released and another ingredient is added to the meal.

When my selections are in play this is what happens:

I suddenly hear sounds that remind me of " Soft music playing, as I stand in my kitchen's doorway glancing towards the dinning room full of family. The sounds of forks and spoons clicking then clanking the plates. Moans and hums sound like drums creating a familiar tune. The sounds I hear spilt up into four part harmony these sounds create what I call a food melody of pleasure. Joy fills my heart as my family indulges in every bite, they begin to sing out verbal appreciation, wow my heart is full.

You may be wondering what some of their songs are.

  • " You Did It This Time" !

  • "This Is What I'm Talking Bout" !

  • " You Put Your Foot In It" !

  • " That's a 10 out 0f 10" !

As I wipe a tear from my eye just thinking about these moments, I realize the family will be here in just a few months. The Holidays are right around the corner.

Please leave a comment in the comment section, letting me know some of your selections and why.
