Intentional Home
There is something sacred about a home that feels… right.
Hear me when I say it does Not have to be perfect or grand, not styled for anyone's approval.
But for me it calls to be Peaceful , Alive and quiet all at the same time., in a welcoming way.
The kind of home that doesn’t just shelter you—it holds you.
And I have come to believe that this kind of home is not created by accident.
It is created with intention. I know I keep using the word intention, intentional and it is more than a buzz word. It is a way of living with a renewed mind and thoughtfulness of how you move in the world. Moving and being held by care and grace. Making sure care and love are gently placed in the smallest details.
The Outside Speaks First
Before anyone ever steps inside your home…your home has already spoken.
It speaks through the way the grass is kept. The way the trees are trimmed, the flowers that greet all who approach your home.
It doesn’t have to be extravagant.
But it should feel cared for.
Because care is something people can feel—even in passing.
A home that is tended to says:
Peace lives here. You are welcome here. The energy here is giving life.
Purposeful Planting
Flowers are one of the simplest ways to soften a space and invite people in—without saying a word.
When you plant flowers, you are not just decorating.
You are offering beauty only nature can produce.
A few thoughtful choices can transform everything:
Beauty near the entrance offers: A Soft, welcoming this year I will plant blooms like lavender, petunias, or rose bushes to create an immediate sense of warmth.
Along walkways: Low-growing flowers guide the eye and slow the step—inviting all who are here to be in the present moment
By windows: Bright, cheerful flowers remind both you and others that life is being lived inside and outside with care.
It is not about having many plants and flowers.
It is about placing them with intention.
The Quiet Message of Maintenance
There is a quiet language in how we care for what we’ve been given.
Often we think we have to go out and continue to purchase with our first looking at what is already here for us to care for. What are the plants and flowers and trees in your yard all ready saying to you. Walking your grounds and finding out who needs what the earth will lead to so many opportunities to curate what you have a create a natural design. Does this take time, Yes, this is year one for me and trust me the work is hard. But the reward is going to be so powerful. I am excited you are taking this journey with me.
Not of perfection.
But of stewardship.
A home that is maintained says:
Our Home Matters, Our life Matters
